ITT Industries, Inc. has been awarded an $82 million contract for Full Rate Production of the AN/ALQ-214(V)2 Countermeasures Systems from the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, MD during fiscal year 2006.
Total potential contract value with priced options is $454.7 million. This significant part of the U.S. Navy's Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasures (IDECM) System is installed on the U.S. Navy's F-18E/F fighter attack aircraft to allow pilots to evade enemy radar. This new award is in addition to ITT contracts for $146.1 million for the ALQ-214 received since 2004.
The contract includes 264 systems to be delivered for F-18E/F fighter attack aircraft. Subsequent production contracts, spares and associated work could significantly add to the overall program's value.
