Three Singapore naval ships RSS Victory, RSS Vengeance and RSS Dauntless arrived here on Tuesday for India Singapore Joint Naval Exercises SIMBEX-06.
They were given a warm welcome when they were berthed alongside the Naval base.
Later the commanding officers of the ships called on Rear-Admiral Sanjeev Bhasin, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet at Eastern Fleet headquarters. They also interacted with the officers of Indian Navy and were briefed about the exercises being held at sea from March 3 to 6.
INS Ranvijay, INS Karmuk and INS Kulish Indian naval submarine Sindhurakshak and maritime patrol aircraft TU 142 would be taking part in SIMBEX-06.
The officers and sailors of the visiting ships would also visit various places of interest in and around Visakhapatnam during their stay here.
