RSAF's Apache helicopters debut at Asian Aerospace

It's home sweet home for Singapore's very own Apache attack helicopters - with three back last month from the United States and another nine due back later this year.

The Apache is also making its debut at Asian Aerospace 2006, which is on till Sunday.

And it has already been quite a crowd puller.

The AH-64D Apache is the most modern attack helicopter acquired by the Republic of Singapore Air Force.

It has proven its mettle on the battlefield - most recently showing off its capabilities at Exercise Forging Sabre in the Californian desert late last year.

It also packs a mean punch with its 30mm cannon, rockets and the Hellfire-guided missiles.

And it will be hard to miss the Apache at Asian Aerospace this year.

It won't be taking to the skies, but aviation buffs can still check out the helicopter on display.
