Testing of land based BrahMos in full swing, Pillai

Following the successful induction of supersonic BrahMos cruise missiles in the Indian Navy BrahMos Aerospace, the Indo-Russian Joint venture was now extensively testing the Army version of surface-to-surface missiles, CEO and MD Sivathanu Pillai said here today.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the company was now engaged in testing and manufacturing BrahMos missiles that can be deployed in Indian Army. The deployment was likely to take place soon, he said.

Dr Pillai was in the city to attend International Conference on Marine Hydrodynamics at Naval Science and Technological Laboratory here.
