The US Army will acquire 19 Gray Eagle unmanned aircraft from General Atomics Aeronautical Systems in Poway for almost $133 million, the Defense Department says. The price also covers a variety of support equipment.
Gray Eagle is a medium-altitude, long-endurance unmanned aircraft system that is capable of firing Hellfire missiles in addition to performing reconnaissance, surveillance, and communication operations.
