Vandenberg tests week’s 2nd Minuteman 3 missile

For the second time this week, a Minuteman 3 missile blasted out of its underground silo Thursday morning at Vandenberg Air Force Base.

The unarmed Minuteman missile blasted out of Launch Facility-9 on North Base at 3:33 a.m. Thursday. Another missile test launched early Sunday morning, and a private rocket is set for its Vandenberg debut to become the third mission in eight days.
