Inshore Patrol Vessel (IPV) “Rani Avantibai,” the second in a series of five IPVs, will be commissioned into Indian Coast Guard here on Thursday by the Union Minister of State for Defence Jitendra Singh.
The 50-metre IPV, built by Hindustan Shipyard Limited, had been launched in 2009.
“Rani Avantibai” is equipped with the most advanced and sophisticated navigational and communication sensors and equipment, a defence release said on Wednesday.
