Aussies learn C-17 ropes


Maintainers from the Royal Australian Air Force are preparing to receive their country’s first C-17 Globemaster IIIs by training with C-17 crews at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

The Aussies have been at the base since late September, according to the Hickam base newspaper.

The RAAF is purchasing four C-17s and is scheduled to receive its first aircraft Nov. 28.

The Australian airmen are from the 36th Squadron at Amberly RAAF Base.
